Xuan Ming :D - As a blogger, I find this style of learning useful and familiar to me and hence it will be more convenient for me to learn this way.

Shawn- Non-blogger, but find it interesting, learns more skills outside academic skills. useful outside class.

Yawei- Non-blogger. I do not know how to start an AQ before this lesson and now my group mates have taught me how to write. Quite fruitful by having class using computers.

Lingzhi: This way of learning is fun, provided that we need to have a basic understanding of ICT skills. : )

The Problem of Media Violence Is Exaggerated

In the first paragraph, the author states that "If we start from a definition that broad, we would need to shut down the flow of media violence into our culture." He says that our definition must include not only physical violence but threats of violence, implied violence, and psychological/emotional violence. An example he gave in the passage would be the fairytale, Snow White and the Seven Dwarves, where the poison apple in the story is viewed as a tool of violence. We agree with this statement. Absolute censorship is totally impossible in reality, as violence is displayed or implied in multiple forms of media. The penetration cannot be removed from the minds of the people as "aggression and conflict is a core aspect of human experience." Newspapers (A form of print media) is a fine example. As reports have to be as accurate and truthful as possible, censoring violence would limit the credibility of the report. Thus, we cannot stop violence from being an inevitable part of our lives, no matter how small it is.
